Role Summary: The role is part of the Apex Corporate Solutions team and acts as an international accountant with IFRS, supporting other jurisdictions and assisting the Head of Operations Corporate Solutions as required.
Key Responsibilities

Assist in the migration of clients from Navision to Xero
Monthly Accounting Operations

Prepare and post journal entries during the month as these arise as well as month‑end journal entries
Perform weekly/bi‑weekly/monthly (as the case may be) bank reconciliations and investigate any discrepancies
Track and record financial transactions in accordance with company policies


Financial Statements

Prepare monthly/quarterly (as the case may be) management accounts & annual financial statements in local (foreign jurisdiction) GAAP and IFRS including the rolling‑forward of such
Support period‑end closing processes
Support audit requests
Assist with managing working capital, preparation of billing, debtors & creditors control


Corporate Income Tax and VAT

Assist in corporate income tax compliance activities
Assist in the preparation and filing of regular VAT declarations and maintain related documentation
Track tax payment deadlines and support timely submissions


Invoice processing

Process invoices accurately and timely
Process payment runs according to payment terms


Handle the day‑to‑day matters as delegated by the immediate/subsequent reporting line(s)
Liaising with clients, as required, on the day‑to‑day matters
Ensure that all day‑to‑day matters required to be completed are performed in a timely and accurate manner
Support the local team management and other jurisdiction’s management with any additional ad hoc requirements and all requested information by set deadlines to drive the business forward

Skills / Experience

Degree in Accounting, Economics or Business Administration
Fluent English knowledge (written & conversational)
5 years of IFRS accounting experience gained and applied in business on the job
Diligent with strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to identify issues and propose solutions and make decisions
Strong communication, influence and interpersonal skills including the ability to set up solid cross‑functional partnerships
Entrepreneurial mind‑set and results driven, with a can‑do attitude and resilient in a pressurized environment
Organized and accurate in working methodologies with an eye for the detail and ability to work in a cross functional stakeholder environment
Self‑reliant in bringing assigned things forward and to a swift close, while at the same time being a team worker and willing to pick up other duties to assist in a small finance team
