Overview
In this role you support the academic programs and student experience at IRB Barcelona, ensuring smooth operation of the Undergraduate Programme and fellowship schemes. You will liaise with students, researchers and external partners to foster talent retention and a positive academic environment. You will be involved in career development advising and cross-institution collaborations, contributing to the centre’s mission of scientific excellence. This position offers exposure to international researchers and a chance to influence training and academic affairs at a leading biomedical institute.

ResponsabilidadesOversee the Undergraduate Programme organizationSupport Predoctoral and Postdoctoral Fellowship Programmes (calls, eligibility, interviews, onboarding)Implement the Complementary Training ProgrammeProvide career development advising to predoctoral researchersOffer personalized support to students, student committees and scientists on academic affairsAssist with activities for young researchers and facilitate collaborations with other institutesMaintain Academic Office databases, update website/intranet, serve as Key User for the recruitment portalSupport visits for international students to the Institute
Requisitos principalesProven experience in career advising, academic programmes, or similar in a research/academic settingDegree in life sciences-related field or HumanitiesProficient in Catalan, Spanish and English (spoken and written)Knowledge of the academic research environmentEffective communication with diverse stakeholdersStrong problem-solving and proactive attitudeExcellent organizational and time management skillsDatabase and online platform managementFamiliarity with fellowship and training programme processesGeneral understanding of HR policies and processes
