WHO WE AREAskerra is an SAT prep company based in Barcelona. We work with students from around the world preparing for US university admissions — through courses, webinars, YouTube, and a growing library of learning materials. The company is built on nearly 10,000 hours of one-on-one tutoring, and we're now turning that experience into something that can reach a lot more people.The SAT is a standardized test covering reading, writing, and math. You don't need to know it to apply — we'll teach you what you need.HOW WE SEE THIS ROLEYou'll work with the founder to build the content and community side of the business — YouTube, worksheets, webinars, Discord, and whatever else comes up as we grow. The founder has spent nearly a decade tutoring SAT students one-on-one, so you'll be learning from someone who knows this subject deeply.WHAT YOU'LL DOContent- Help prepare and edit scripts, descriptions, and metadata for YouTube content- Co-create and edit SAT worksheets, explanations, practice sets, and supporting content- Review all materials for accuracy, clarity, and consistencyWebinars- Co-create webinar content and supporting materials- Moderate live sessions — manage chat, field questions, handle logistics- Coordinate scheduling across time zonesCommunity- Manage and moderate our Discord server and YouTube comminity- Be a reliable, knowledgeable presence for students and surface feedback that improves our contentWHAT WE VALUEYou are looking for- Varied, hands-on work in a small company where you see the impact of what you do- Working directly with a founder and learning how a business is built from the inside- Developing a skill set that blends editorial, educational, and community work- A real path to grow with a company, not a dead-end positionWhat we expect- Strong written English and solid numerical reasoning- Attention to detail in language, math, and formatting- Comfort with technology and strong AI workflow skills- Comfortable communicating with students — approachable, professional, helpful- Able to work closely with someone else's vision and build on it- Self-directed — you manage your own time and know when to ask questions- Reliability — you deliver what you commit to, on time- No SAT experience required — we will teach youQUALIFICATIONSWe don't require a specific degree, but a bachelor's is welcome and a CELTA, TEFL, or similar certificate is a plus. Any professional writing experience is valuable — academic, journalistic, editorial, or otherwise. Strong math skills are essential: you'll be working with SAT-level algebra, geometry, and data analysis daily, and you need to be genuinely comfortable with that.As part of the hiring process, we'll ask you to take an actual SAT test after the first interview. How you perform on it carries as much weight as your CV.If any of these mean something to you, we'd like to know: coding in any language, Git/GitHub, LaTeX, Neovim, prompt engineering, video editing, SAT score above 1500.
