HUMS is a critical system that monitors aircraft or equipment health and usage, enabling early fault detection, predictive maintenance and enhanced safety and reliability.Key BenefitsPredictive Maintenance: Detects early signs of wear or potential failures before they occur.Operational Safety: Provides real‑time alerts on system health to prevent accidents.Reliability & Efficiency: Optimizes equipment lifespan and reduces unplanned maintenance.Data‑Driven Insights: Tracks performance trends to support engineering decisions and improve fleet management.ResponsibilitiesLead systems engineering activities in order to specify, develop, integrate, qualify and certify health management systems in accordance with Airbus Defence and Space standards.Define the HUMS architecture, acting as HW/SW designer analyst for the development of on‑board centralized Big Data architectures.Identify the activities of the development life‑cycle that are necessary to develop a system/product and provide the level of confidence consistent with regulation and program requirements.Gather customer requirements for analysis and incorporation into the product.Define checkpoints and reviews with associated maturity expectations aligned with program phases and gates.Elaborate the product detailed design in accordance with system allocated requirements and architecture.Integrate the health management system into aircraft.Specify, require, and support Laboratory, Ground and Flight tests needed for the development, certification and qualification (V&V) of health management systems.Lead data management activities for massive information, from data gathering, manipulating and processing to storing.Required Skills and ExperienceExperience in on‑board hardware and software equipment design life‑cycle and supplier management.Experience in software design and development.Experience in development on board high performance computers.Experience working in A400M, C‑295, SiRTAP or EuroDrone programs.Excellent knowledge of development and integration activities, from requirements capture to verification/validation activities to achieve a qualified/certified system, including safety, quality assurance, configuration control, etc., applied to health management systems.Good knowledge of procurement activities, from supplier selection to control and monitoring activities.Proficiency with system engineering tools: DOORS, ICDMS, SNT, ABDS, Eclipse.Good communication skills, assertiveness and willingness to travel.Strong Spanish and English skills, both verbal and written.Job RequirementsThis job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the company’s success, reputation and sustainable growth.Equal OpportunityAirbus is committed to achieving workforce diversity and creating an inclusive working environment.
