Gunvor is the largest independent LNG trader in the world. /p h3Job Title /h3 pSystem Engineer (Permanent) /p h3Job Description /h3 pThe System Engineer will be based at Gunvor’s office in Istanbul or in London (with a hybrid work setup) and reports to the System Engineer Team Lead. The System Engineer is responsible for the effective provisioning, installation, configuration, operation and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure globally. This individual participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. /p pAssist project teams with technical issues in the Initiation and Planning phases of our standard Project Management Methodology. Responsibilities include defining needs, benefits and technical strategy, research development within the project lifecycle, technical analysis and design, and supporting operations staff in executing, testing and rolling out solutions. Participation on projects focuses on smoothing the transition of projects from development staff to production staff by performing operations activities within the project lifecycle. /p pThe primary role is providing 3rd‑level infrastructure support for all IT systems, and providing telephone/email/remote technical support to other offices as required for centralized systems accessible globally, e.g., email, Active Directory, virtualization, etc. /p h3Main Responsibilities /h3 ul liAdminister Exchange (O365 On‑prem) server and mail connectors, including email gateways and an international multi‑site environment /li liDevelop and maintain procedures and processes needed to administer Active Directory / MS Exchange /li liInstall new or rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements /li liAdminister, maintain, deploy, enhance server products and platforms (physical and virtual servers and storage) /li liUpgrade and configure system software that supports Gunvor business applications /li liApply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis following change management procedures /li liOversee personnel responsible to create, change, and delete user accounts per request (including Active Directory and SharePoint) /li liPerform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, and system and application logs /li liRecommend / establish policies on system use and services /li liPerform periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning /li liMaintain data center environmental and monitoring equipment /li liDevelop and maintain documentation of infrastructure /li liMicrosoft Exchange O365 on‑prem / Intune / VMWare AirWatch / Veritas Vault / Proofpoint Messaging systems maintenance, administration and support /li liEscalate problems to management, if necessary /li liCollaborate with Global IT /li liEnsure that systems are managed per established SLA (Service Level Agreement) /li liSupport global deployment will require off‑hours support across multiple time zones /li liExperience managing/deploying Microsoft Exchange, Windows servers, Active Directory /li liExperience architecting messaging environments (design, implementation and administration) /li liDisaster Recovery experience with Exchange 2013 or later /li /ul h3Profile /h3 ul li5+ years of administrating experience and support of other network‑related products such as AD, networking and related technical infrastructure /li li3+ years of experience with Microsoft Windows Servers 2012 and later, Microsoft Exchange 2013 and later /li li3+ years of administrating experience and support VMware and VEEAM /li liExperience with storage systems /li liFluent in English (spoken and written) and able to work in an international / multi‑cultural environment /li liKnowledge of Change Management and Incident Management procedures /li liMCSE certificate highly desirable /li liExcellent communication skills /li liExcellent problem‑solving skills required /li liMust be a strong team player /li /ul pOur people make all the difference in our success. /p /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
