In this role you’ll perform customer demonstrations explaining features and benefits to customers, assist the customer with network and solution designs, and configure equipment to meet specific requirements. This is a highly demanding role in that A10 requires high caliber engineering resources, together with commercial pre‑sales acumen to drive success within the dynamic sales environment.ResponsibilitiesProviding technical and sales support for accounts and channel in assigned territory covering primarily Benelux and ScandicsTechnically qualifying sales opportunitiesPerforming presentations (technical deep‑dive, products, solution) for customers, partners and prospectsAssisting with the development of formal sales plans and proposals for assigned opportunitiesBeing responsible for setting up PoCs, testing, RFP handling & technical solutions drafting, competition analysis, training materials, and promotional documentationProviding analysis and input on feature requests required by customers and help qualify the value, timescales and win probability of having such features in the productsInternal training for sales and marketing team; external training for channel partners & key customersRemote and on‑site support for customer technical problems and issuesDiagnosing and mitigating issues by jointly working with and assisting TAC & relevant internal teams for key customersRequired QualificationsA Bachelor’s degree in EE or CS (or equivalent)Minimum 4 years of experience in pre‑salesKnowledge of Layer 3–7 protocols and technologies, such as TCP / IP, UDP, HTTP, DNS and SSL / TLS, IPv6Experience for service provider networksStrong L2 / L3 expertise with an emphasis on Network Routing Protocols, such as OSPF, BGPIn‑depth knowledge in multiple areas of specialization: Virtualization, Cloud‑Native, Application Acceleration, DDoS mitigation, CGN, IPv4 Preservation / IPv6 Migration technologies, service providers and securityStrong operating experience in at least one of the following areas: Service providers networks, Application Delivery Controller, DDoS prevention, Large Scale NAT and Network SecurityAbility to work independently, effectively and as a team memberFluent in English, excellent spoken and written communicationsAvailable to travel within especially Benelux, Nordics, and occasionally Europe, Middle East and AfricaAvailable to travel to the USAbility articulate complex technical conceptsAbility to forge new, strong business relationshipsAbility to take ownership of issues and drive resolutionPosition Title : Systems Engineer (possibly a Senior Systems Engineer role for the right candidate)Location : NetherlandsDesirable SkillsCompetitive knowledge in Layer 4–7 networking and applications including solutions, technology and product offeringsKnowledgeable and conversant about company, competitive landscape, technologies, solutions, product strengths and weaknesses, opportunities and threatsKnowledge of protocols and technologies in mobile service provider / ISP, such as CGNAT, Gi / SGi Firewall, GTP Firewall, DDoS Clean PipeScripting programming experience in Shell or TCL along with Unix / Linux technical experienceAll applicants must be eligible to work in Netherlands.
