Our goal is to develop funds where we have a clear competitive advantage to generate alpha for our institutional and UHNWI clients.Santander Alternatives provides investors with a range of alternative investment opportunities in Venture Capital, Infrastructure, Trade Finance and Working Capital, Direct Lending, Real Estate, Hospitality and Fund of Funds, leveraging on the strengths and extensive origination capabilities of Santander Group.**THE DIFFERENCE YOU MAKE****Santander Alternative Investments** is looking for a **Structured Finance Vice-President (****Semi-Liquid Private Markets)** based out of Castellana 24 office, in downtown Madrid.As a **Structured Finance Vice-President** you will be supporting the Structure Finance team in the sourcing, structuring, deployment, funding and management of multi-jurisdictional, multi-currency secure lending structures over revolving short-term portfolios that provide financing to Private Lending leaders in the SME working capital lending industry.We’re shaping the way we work through innovation, cutting-edge technology, collaboration and the freedom to explore new ideas. To succeed in this role, you will be responsible for:* To source and lead the structuring and funding of Short-Term revolving Structured Finance semi-liquid portfolios.* Source, analyze and monitor investment opportunities,* Structure through the use of Special Purpose Vehicles (‘SPV’) multi-jurisdictional, multi-currency secure lending structures for Private Lenders.* Day to day management of the portfolios including portfolio composition,* Ensure portfolios are consistent with the investment criteria as well as being aligned with portfolio objectives and restrictions,* Lead the execution and implementation of Investment Committees’ decisions in the daily activities of the different funds,* Lead Credit, risk and legal analysis for the different transactions and portfolios, supporting from a Fund Management perspective the discussions on different valuation methodologies.* Lead the negotiation with private lenders and other financial institutions to obtain financing (subscription lines and NAV financing) for our SME semi-liquid strategy.* Lead the delivery of supporting documentation for each acquisition such as legal documentation, valuation methodologies, and credit submissions.* Support the management team in the search for alternative investment strategies.**WHAT YOU’LL BRING**Our people are our greatest strength. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.**Professional Experience**8+ years (VP level) professional with experience in several of the following aspects:* Structured Finance short-term lending and working capital solutions within a leading Entity* Multicurrency multijurisdictional SPV structures* Hedging, CDS, FX and similar structuring experience (Preferred)* Familiar with the use of Working Capital Finance, Short term secure lending, use of SPVs, English, and Spanish Law.**Education**Bachelor of Sciences, MBA or PHD at renowned universities in the subjects of Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, Financial Analysis, Statistics, or Mathematics, with sustainable professional experience in Structured Finance and/or Private Markets lending.**Languages*** Must be proficient in English and Spanish**Hard Skills*** Deep understanding of structured finance.* Strong computer skills in Excel, PowerPoint, Python, Reuters and Bloomberg.* Considerable experience in managing different economic cycles and its impact in financial credit structures.* Rigorous analysis and presentation skills in risk management and organization.* Excellent attention to detail to credit, legal and structuring legal frameworks.**Soft Skills*** The ideal candidate must operate with the highest moral and ethical standards* The ideal candidate must have a multicultural, multilingual background accustomed to dealing with the complexity of global leading financial institutions* Ability to communicate and market relevant ideas/strategies to clients of varying levels of sophistication in both large and small audience* Solid international experience* Willing to travel and work in a demanding and intellectually challenging environment* Strong interpersonal skills, in an environment in which building trust with senior management and peers is a must* A self-motivated character, focused on achieving and delivering objectives and complex ideas into fruition**WE VALUE YOUR IMPACT****Your contribution matters**, and it’s recognized.
