The responsibility of the FPGA Application Engineer is to develop and deploy ADG application specific FPGA and SoC solutions to internal product application team and external customers for two objectives.Enable evaluation and demonstration of advanced features in ADG products that are not readily supported by the core ADG FPGA platform.Enable application support and system design such as multi-chip sync as a reference point for customers to build their own systems and end-products for multiple applications and market segments, including electronic test equipment, wideband communication systems, and Aerospace & Defense subsystems.This role requires an energetic and motivated individual with strong communication, organizational, and technical skills who works well in a diverse environment across a geographically distributed organization. You will provide innovative, practical, and timely solutions to complex customer issues while developing and applying comprehensive system-level understanding of application segments.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement FPGA programs using HDL, IP, and embedded softwareConstrain FPGA designs and perform timing analysisPerform FPGA design verification using behavioral modelsTroubleshoot and resolve problems on FPGA designs and hardwareParticipate in design reviews, create documentation, present information, and produce demonstrationsSupport the evaluation and test of new application hardware in the labWork in a cross-functional team environment that includes close interaction with ADG application engineers, software engineers, and FPGA platform development team.Must Have SkillsSystem Level Design Expertise: Advanced proficiency in system architecture with the ability to optimize integrated solutions across multiple components and subsystems for maximum performanceApplication Development Leadership: Demonstrated ability to independently develop sophisticated application tools, reference boards, and software that effectively showcase product capabilities and address complex customer needsStrategic Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration: Proven experience building consensus across engineering, marketing, and sales teams to achieve critical business objectives and successfully bring products to marketAdvanced Problem Solving: Exceptional analytical abilities with demonstrated success resolving complex technical challenges using innovative approaches and deep domain knowledgeHands-on experience with FPGA and/or SoC programmingMotivated and creative problem solver with good writing, presentation, and overall communication skillsAbility to work simultaneously on multiple projects and set priorities to deliver on schedulePreferred Education And ExperienceBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related technical field; Master\'s degree preferred5+ years of experience in product applications engineering, customer technical support, or related rolesFPGA and/or SoC experience that includes high-speed signaling and embedded softwareExperience with AMD-Xilinx devices and tools, especially Gigabit Transceivers and high-speed memoryExperience with Verilog programming and digital designExperience with high speed Serdes, like Ethernet, JESD204B/C, UCIe, PCIe etc.Why You\'ll Love Working HereAt Analog Devices, you\'ll be part of a collaborative and innovative team that\'s shaping the future of technology.
