Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Tracking Specialist based in Spain. The role focuses on the technical implementation, maintenance, and optimisation of tracking and measurement systems across web and mobile applications. The Tracking Specialist is responsible for designing and deploying client-side and server-side tracking architectures, ensuring accurate, scalable and compliant data collection. The role works closely with product, marketing and data teams to translate measurement requirements into robust technical implementations. Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing and debugging tracking setups, developing and maintaining APIs and data collection endpoints, managing tag management systems and continuously improving data quality, reliability, and performance. Qualifications Strong expertise in web and app tracking implementation, including event modeling and data layer design. Proven experience with server-side tracking setups, such as server-side Google Tag Manager or custom server-side collection architectures. Excellent JavaScript development skills, with a focus on clean, maintainable, and well-structured tracking code. Experience developing and integrating APIs for event collection, transformation, and delivery to analytics and marketing platforms. Hands-on experience with multiple Tag Management Systems (TMS) and complex tag, trigger, and variable configurations. Advanced proficiency in Google Analytics 4, including event schemas, parameters, and validation workflows. Strong analytical and debugging skills to validate data accuracy and resolve tracking issues. Good command of SQL for querying, validating, and analyzing event-level data. Familiarity with BigQuery for working with large-scale analytics datasets. Experience implementing and configuring Consent Management Platforms (CMP) and ensuring tracking compliance.
