Experteer Overview
As a Senior Space Systems Engineer, you lead mission-level systems engineering across the full lifecycle from Phase 0 to E. You will define CONOPS and architecture, manage requirements and risk, and coordinate Space Segment and Ground Segment teams to deliver end-to-end satellite systems. You’ll negotiate with customers and shape technical directions that influence Europe’s space autonomy. This role combines hands-on technical leadership with cross-functional collaboration on high-impact programs like Galileo and Copernicus, offering a meaningful opportunity to drive innovation at scale.

• Define the mission CONOPS and coordinate Space Segment and Ground Segment teams
• Lead requirement capture, architecture definition, and technical negotiations with customers
• Define and maintain the mission technical schedule
• Capture and flow down mission requirements into system specs
• Define functional chains across mission segments and ensure end-to-end coherence
• Identify and maintain the mission technical risk matrix
• Prepare technical documentation and deliverables in English
• Lead functional analyses and trade‑offs to optimize system performance and ensure requirements compliance
Responsabilidades
• At least 4 years of experience in the Space Industry
• Experience across all lifecycle phases (0 to E)
• Understanding of basic orbital dynamics concepts
• Experience with a spacecraft or payload subsystem, preferably telecommunications
• Strong understanding of spacecraft systems, mission design, and space technologies
• Proficiency in systems engineering: requirements analysis, architecture design, integration, verification, validation
• Experience in technical negotiations with customers and stakeholders
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for technical and non-technical audiences
• Professional fluency in English
