Position: Senior Power Bi Developer Location: Malaga, Spain (Hybrid 2 days a week onsite) Duration: Long Term B2B Contract Job Description: Power BI Development: Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards that offer actionable insights for business stakeholders.
- Data Modeling & Visualization: Create and optimize complex data models, develop calculated columns, measures, and KPIs, and ensure seamless integration of data from multiple sources.
- Database Management: Work extensively with SQL databases, performing data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) tasks, and optimizing data queries to enhance Power BI performance.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements, understand key performance indicators (KPIs), and translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Data Governance & Quality: Implement data governance and quality assurance processes to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
- Performance Optimization: Fine-tune Power BI reports for speed and performance, utilizing best practices in DAX, data modeling, and query optimization.
- Documentation & Training: Document development processes and provide training and support to end-users as needed. Qualifications:
- Experience: 6+ years of experience in Power BI development, including expertise in data modeling, DAX, and Power Query.
- Database Knowledge: Strong background in SQL and database management, with hands-on experience in SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, or other database platforms.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in DAX, Power Query, and M language.
- Extensive experience with ETL processes and data integration.
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and best practices.
- Knowledge of other BI tools and data platforms is a plus.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to translate business requirements into data insights.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex data solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
