Senior Manager – Power Markets and Pricing

We are supporting an international energy platform in the search for a senior professional with strong exposure to Iberian power markets and pricing. The role focuses on shaping pricing strategies, assessing market exposure and supporting commercial decisions across wholesale and adjustment services markets.
This position sits close to the business, combining market insight, pricing and commercial judgement, with a strong emphasis on value creation and risk-aware decision-making across renewable assets, including solar and storage.
Main Responsibilities
Define and oversee pricing strategies across Day-Ahead and Adjustment Services markets, aligned with commercial objectives and portfolio risk appetite.
Analyze market performance and dynamics to identify trends, risks and value opportunities.
Translate complex market data into clear insights to support senior commercial and investment decisions.
Contribute to the design and evolution of Route-to-Market (RTM) approaches in line with regulatory frameworks and commercial priorities.
Support the development and refinement of pricing, forecasting and valuation tools for renewable generation assets (solar PV and BESS).
Collaborate closely with commercial, asset management, finance and development teams to ensure consistency between market assumptions and business plans.
Engage with key external market stakeholders (operators, aggregators, regulatory bodies) to ensure effective market access and execution.
Required Profile
8–12 years of experience in European power markets, with solid hands‑on exposure to Iberian wholesale and adjustment services markets.
Background in power market pricing, market strategy, commercial analysis or related roles.
Strong understanding of renewable asset economics, particularly solar and storage technologies.
Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to frame market complexity into actionable business recommendations.
Comfortable influencing senior stakeholders and operating in fast‑moving, volatile market environments.
Structured, pragmatic and commercially minded profile.
