Experteer Overview
Domain Architect at ING leads architectural definition across Wholesale/Business Banking, shaping target architectures and transitions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to align business needs with technology strategy, guide engineers through design patterns, and own integration across the domain. This role focuses on reducing architectural debt and ensuring delivery adheres to the architecture while enabling agile, bank-wide initiatives. You will contribute to roadmaps and governance, driving impactful change in a fast-paced, international environment.

• Define scope of bounded contexts within the domain aligned with value streams
• Co-create architectural designs across time horizons including target architecture and transitions
• Contribute to roadmaps and assess impact of initiatives at inception
• Own domain-wide service/platform integration, optimizing functional and non-functional requirements
• Provide design-pattern guidance to engineers and teams via cookbooks
• Describe practical implementation guidance for best practices
• Manage Quarterly Business Review (QBR) items and sign off on quarterly plans/CGD
• Ensure architecture is implemented according to design and track debt
• Liaise with management and delivery leadership across business and technology domains
Responsabilidades
• 3-5 years in Architecture
• Experience with Microservices, API design, Event Driven Architecture (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
• Knowledge of Domain-Driven Design principles a plus
• Understanding of security principles across application, transport, and infrastructure
• In-depth understanding of banking environment and financial products
• Proven hands-on development leadership in Agile environments
• Strong communication and stakeholder management
• Fluent English (written and spoken)
• Problem solving and analytical skills
• Team-oriented with execution focus
• Experience driving IT change initiatives in business environments
