Your role The Application Engineer for the SAP Finance area acts for the Accounting to Reporting topics to provide state of the art solutions. This includes the implementation of appropriate systems enhancements following established processes to meet customer requirements. The Application Engineer will interact with our Business facing organization to plan, prepare and execute projects as well as individual Change Requests. In this role we require an excellent knowledge of SAP Finance applications and adjacent modules with focus on General Ledger Accounting, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting functionality combined with a good understanding of associated A2R (Accounting to Report) processes e.G.. Order to Cash, Finance Integration with Sales & Distribution Module, End to End process in Asset Accounting including capitalization of Fixed Asset. Having workable knowledge in Onesource (Tax determination tool) would be an added advantage. He/she should be in the position to consult business partners to find suitable and sustainable solutions meeting customer demands. Responsibilities Secure minimal business disruption on application go live based on proper design and formal project hand-over process. Change and Release Management Establish documentation of current and target application architecture Establish and implement the Life Cycle Mgmt plan for applications in scope Secure Change Management processes in line with relevant SOPs Ensure complete and accurate handover documents created prior to production release Manage the application portfolio at the most appropriate level of release Project Delivery Lead technical design of applications/solutions in portfolio Provide technical services and functional advice on the implementation of business applications Provide functional/technical support to project teams Provide the technical input for defining and maintaining the development standard and guidelines Who you are: Education/Professional Experience Bachelor/Master degree or equivalent in Computer Sciences and/or Business Administration 4-9 years experience in software or applications services Languages English & Spanish mandatory (written and spoken) An additional language (German) is an asset Skills & Competencies Strong interpersonal and organizational skills Strong written and oral communication skills Willingness to travel Ability to make difficult decisions and act independently Integration skills regarding the use of functionality within SAP FI Good knowledge in the surrounding modules (FI, SD, MM) Ability to customize/review system configuration in FI and to prepare functional requirement specifications Working knowledge in Onesource tax determination tool preferred
