Safety Engineer at Airbus Defence and Space
Overview
Join the Aircraft Development Safety team in Getafe to support Airbus products through design, development and certification in accordance with applicable safety standards and airworthiness regulations.
Responsibilities

Perform System Safety Assessment activities for military aircraft systems through all development phases.
Examine System functions to identify and classify failure conditions according to severity.
Establish System Safety requirements and evaluate preliminary architecture against safety objectives.
Generate evidence for Airworthiness Authorities demonstrating that the final system architecture meets safety requirements.
Analyze Common-Cause hazards (Particular Risk Analysis, Zonal Safety Analysis, Common Mode Analysis).
Conduct Risk Analyses to demonstrate Continuous Airworthiness of the platform.
Manage and establish safety requirements at interfaces to interacting systems.
Manage inputs and outputs to interfacing technical domains and technology (processes, maintenance, human factors, aircraft performance, structures, quality, etc.).
Review, approve and apply supplier data regarding Safety and Reliability.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in Aeronautical, Industrial Engineering or similar discipline.
Good knowledge of aircraft systems.
Experience in System Safety Assessment is an advantage; at least System Engineering experience interfacing with Safety Assessment/Airworthiness/Certification.
Advanced skills with MS Office.
Experience with Safety Tools (e.g. Isograph FaultTree+).
Good level of English.
Team‑working skills and problem‑solving mindset.
