Procurement Engineer – 1A Ingenieros
We are looking for a Procurement Engineer to join our Project Management team for an industrial project in Navalmoral de la Mata (or Madrid) in the Building sector. You will support the Senior Project Manager and coordinate with the client’s procurement team.
Responsibilities

Collaborate with the client and Project Management to define procurement strategy, establish scope of works and supplies to tender.
Identify potential suppliers, participate in tender processes and monitor their progress.
Lead supplier prequalification procedures.
Coordinate with engineering teams on tendering of Long Lead Items (LLIs).
Support Project Management and Cost Management in preparing periodic procurement progress reports.
Evaluate suppliers during pre‑qualification and tender stages to aid client decision‑making.
Administer contracts: prepare, review, identify risks, monitor execution, and manage claims and disputes.

Qualifications

University degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related Building disciplines (or equivalent education with industry experience).
Minimum 10 years of experience on industrial building projects.
Minimum 5 years of specific procurement, purchasing, tendering or contract administration experience.
Ability to work flexibly in dynamic environments with tight deadlines, both in multidisciplinary teams and independently.
Willingness to travel weekly to the site in Navalmoral de la Mata.
High level of English language proficiency.
