(OIB) | Medical Systems | To ensure our customers’ equipment is available when required so that vital and potentially lifesaving procedures can be carried out. Responsibility for supporting a specific site(s) with the aim of maximising customer equipment up-time and efficiency of Olympus and third-party equipment that fall into the service contract agreement. This is achieved by delivering on important proactive and reactive field service requirements, plus educating, and sometimes persuading end users to improve the care and handling of a wide range of medical devices to prevent avoidable equipment damage. This role must be a key contact person for the site and be able to be a pivotal role of communications between all stakeholders and the customer to improve delivery of service and sales. Therefore you must be an ambassador of Olympus.With around 225 employees, Olympus Iberia is one of the largest subsidiaries in Europe.Your responsibilitiesCustomer SupportResponsible for managing the logistics of repairs and loans including collection, administration, and distribution.Responsible for improving efficiency within the repair and loan process to improve uptime.Working with the Sales team in product introduction and future sales.Face of the company and on hand to deal with any customer question or query.Responsible for ensuring all customer requests that given to you are actioned.Uptime SupportProactively and regularly visit all stakeholders around the hospitals to manage needs and maximise customer satisfaction.Conduct repair trend observations to find the root cause of problems to reduce avoidable repairs.Where the root cause of repair trends is identified conduct troubleshooting techniques like air/water channel blockage removal to prevent repairs.Conduct basic practical training and education with customers to prevent avoidable repairs and on hygiene/reprocessing topics.Work closely and talk regularly with your local Uptime Support Manager to ensure you have an aligned action plan to achieve repair KPIs and maximise customer satisfaction.Retrieval of data/procedures for customer if/where applicable.Field ServicePlanned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) on electronics equipment.Flexible endoscope preventative maintenance.Installing Olympus systems including trolleys, processors, light sources etc.Provide technical support where required.If required, schedule field-based engineers to complete repairs.Potential to conduct onsite hygiene testing of Olympus equipment, perform hygiene consulting and also help the customers in case of hygiene issues regarding reprocessing.Stock control management of components held on site.Work closely with the field service engineers to maximise uptime and customer satisfaction.Shall implement and work to all applicable regulatory and quality requirements as stipulated within the KeyMed Quality Manual, Quality Policy, and Quality Objectives.Shall implement and work to all applicable Health, Safety and Environmental requirements.First interventions on Olympus equipment according to OEM approved standards and quality.Endoscope minor repairs in field according to OEM approved standards and quality.At least once a year, an internal audit will be carried out and corrective actions will be implement according to PDCA system.Education, formal qualifications:Electronic/Electrical Engineering qualification as per country requirement.Professional experience:Desirable background on Multi vendor equipment or experience in engineering roles.Previous experience in large healthcare projects is desirable.Previous experience in engineering role would be advantageous.Previous experience in onsite support for medical equipment would be advantageous.Previous experience in previous Medical field / Engineering would be advantageous.Ability to work on own initiative and be pro-active to change is essential.Excellent interpersonal skills is essential.Knowledge/Experience in Hygiene desirable not essential.Requirements:Travel is a requirement of this role and, therefore, applicants must possess a full, clean driving licence.Good standard of Mathematics & English attained is desirable.Natural ability to build and maintain strong relationships (people person).Professional attitude with an eagerness to learn.Be comfortable working within a theatre/procedure/decontamination environment.Ability to work flexibly i.E., stay late or work weekends to meet customer requirements.Benefits:TrainingsPension PlanCompany carInternetLife InsuranceAbout Olympus Medical SystemsThe Medical Systems Division represents Olympus’ largest business domain and is the global market and technology leader for medical endoscopes.
