Job ID: | Amazon Data Services Ireland Limited Overview Amazon's Enterprise Network team is hiring Network Engineers to scale and automate one of the world's largest and most complex networks. The Enterprise Network provides mission‑critical global connectivity for internal services, business applications, datacenter infrastructure, and over one million internal users. In this role you will design and automate next‑generation network architectures across AWS datacenters worldwide. Key Responsibilities Deploy network infrastructure across all network fabrics that support Amazon Retail Service and AWS services. Deploy, scale, and automate the network across many global data centers, including existing footprints and new locations. Identify opportunities and develop tooling to increase scaling velocity and quality. Create simple, repeatable processes and improve existing processes. Work closely with internal customers on designs/solutions, bringing those concepts to production. Create and update network standards and ensure deployments meet those standards. Collaborate with teams to define platforms and frameworks that allow unprecedented scaling volume. Basic Qualifications 5+ years of experience with major internet routing protocols, specifically BGP and OSPF. Knowledge of IP networking fundamentals, DNS, and DHCP. Experience in automation via Perl or Python programming. Preferred Qualifications Thorough understanding of TCP/IP networking, IP routing, network security architecture, and core technologies such as IP, TCP, OSPF/IS‑IS, BGP, MPLS, firewalls, ACLs, DNS, DHCP, IPAM, LDAP, etc. Experience with one or more vendor platforms: Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, Arista, Citrix, F5, Fortinet, Palo Alto, etc. Experience diagnosing problems with customers, strong troubleshooting skills, and resolving issues.
