Machine Learning Manager | LLM / GenAI | AI / Quantum Computing Start-up

We are looking for an experienced and skilled Manager with a strong Generative AI technical background to lead our international engineering teams.
You will leverage cutting‑edge quantum and AI technologies to lead the design, implementation, and production deployment of Generative AI systems. This role involves working closely with cross‑functional teams to integrate advanced models into our products and contribute to the future of GenAI/LLM technologies.
Key Responsibilities

Lead Technical Direction: Define the technical approach, design solutions, and ensure quality for complex projects tackling industry problems for top‑tier clients.
Project Management: Manage projects from initiation to completion, including scope definition, objective setting, and deliverable execution.
Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and guide a diverse team of engineers, fostering a collaborative and results‑driven environment.
Stakeholder Communication: Ensure clear, transparent communication of project status, milestones, and challenges with all stakeholders, including senior management and clients.
Strategy: Contribute to the overall technology strategy by providing client and technology insights.

Required Skills

Education: Master’s or Ph.D. in a technical field (AI, Comp Sci, Physics, Engineering) with 5+ years of relevant industry experience.
Leadership: 2+ years of successful project management experience leading engineering teams in a technology company.
Generative AI Expertise (3+ years hands‑on):
Proven experience in designing and implementing Generative AI systems, including RAG (Retrieval‑Augmented Generation) and Agentic AI solutions.
Experience deploying GenAI systems in cloud‑based production environments.
Expertise with LLM models, including fine‑tuning, alignment techniques, and/or pruning/model compression techniques.
Technical Stack: Excellent command of Python, Docker, and Git, with experience in GitHub/Gitlab workflows.
Process & Methodology: Solid understanding of agile development methodologies.
Soft Skills: Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Language: Perfect command of Spanish and English.

Preferred Slills

Experience with deep learning model compression techniques and inference optimization engines (e.g., TensorRT, vLLM).
Experience in the evaluation of Generative AI systems on real, live data.
