Head of Finance – High-Growth Deeptech Robotics
Location: Valencia, Spain (Hybrid/On-site)
The Mission
Our client is an ambitious European deeptech startup redefining the future of autonomous heavy-duty electric vehicles. Their modular platform is designed for the most demanding environments—from high-precision agriculture to critical frontline logistics.
They are currently entering a pivotal scaling phase following 2 successful fundraising rounds of close to €10million, backed by a consortium of world-class Tier-1 VCs renowned for scaling industrial tech and sustainability champions.
We are searching for a Head of Finance based in Valencia who can balance hands-on financial operations with the strategic foresight required for a global manufacturing scale-up.
The Role
As the first dedicated finance lead, you will be the strategic right hand to the founders. This is a "builder" role—you aren't just managing a department; you are architecting the financial infrastructure of a company moving from R& D to mass production.
Key Responsibilities:Strategic Scaling: Own the financial roadmap as the company prepares for international customer deliveries and large-scale industrialisation.
CAPEX & Industrial Ops: Lead financial planning for manufacturing facilities, managing heavy CAPEX investments, and optimising complex supply chain finance.
Hands-on Fin Ops: Establish the entire finance function from scratch—budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and monthly reporting.
Business Partnering: Work closely with Engineering and Operations to ensure financial discipline during rapid hardware prototyping and deployment.
Governance: Manage tax, audit, and compliance within the Spanish and wider European regulatory frameworks.
Who You Are
The Experience: 7+ years of finance experience, with a proven track record in high-growth startups, scale-ups, or industrial tech environments.
Hardware DNA: You have a deep understanding of CAPEX management, inventory, and the financial nuances of physical product manufacturing.
Hybrid Mindset: You are "hands-on" enough to build the models yourself but "strategic" enough to advise the board on long-term capital allocation.
Local & Global: You are based in or willing to relocate to Valencia and are fluent in both English and Spanish.
