Overview Lead the engineering strategy in renewables. Set standards and oversee end-to-end technical execution across projects. About Our Client Our client operates in the renewable energy sector and is creating a new strategic engineering role to strengthen its technical capabilities. The position will consolidate standards, quality, compliance, and efficiency across all project phases. Job Description Define basic and detailed engineering for projects and facilities. Select technologies, equipment, and technical solutions aligned with project needs. Prepare technical specifications, reports, drawings, and engineering documentation. Evaluate alternatives to optimise CAPEX and OPEX. Supervise construction execution, equipment installation, and ensure regulatory & quality compliance. Coordinate EPCs, external engineering firms, suppliers, and contractors, tracking timelines, costs, and risks. Lead commissioning and performance testing, validating key operational parameters and enabling knowledge transfer to O&M. Drive innovation and continuous improvement (pilots, testing, emerging technologies) and stay current on regulations and certification. The Successful Applicant Education: Degree in Industrial, Chemical, Energy, Mechanical Engineering or similar; Master\'s in renewables, industrial processes, or project management is a plus. 12+ years in process engineering, industrial plants, or renewable energy Experience as head of engineering or similar in utilities, EPCs, construction, water/recycling. Technical competencies: Process design (PFD, P&ID), equipment sizing, and industrial regulations (ATEX, safety, environmental); project management (PMI), EPC, commissioning.
