Berwick Partners is delighted to be partnering with Hyfire, part of the wider Orama Group, in the appointment of a Head of Business Unit for its Iberian operation.
Hyfire is a specialist provider of wireless fire detection technology and forms part of a group of market‑leading wireless businesses operating internationally, committed to shaping a safer world through innovation. The Orama Group is part of Halma plc – a market leading FTSE 100 organisation.
Hyfire IB was acquired in 2024 and has established strong foundations for growth. Operating within a market where wireless fire detection remains significantly underpenetrated, the business is well positioned to capitalise on increasing customer demand for connected, flexible and digitally enabled fire safety solutions.
We are seeking to appoint a commercial business leader to accelerate growth, strengthen organisational capability and establish Hyfire as the leading wireless fire detection specialist across Iberia.
The Role
Reporting to the International Business Unit Director, the Head of Business Unit will have full responsibility for the performance of the Iberian operation, combining strategic leadership with hands‑on execution. The role carries full P&L accountability and responsibility for driving sustainable growth across the business.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading the Iberian business with full P&L responsibility
Developing and executing the growth strategy for the region
Accelerating adoption of wireless fire detection technology across key markets
Building and developing a high performing sales, operational and technical organisation
Introducing greater structure, process and scalability to support future growth
Strengthening relationships with customers, installers, system integrators and key stakeholders
Establishing Hyfire as the market leader for wireless fire detection systems across Iberia
The role requires close engagement with customers, commercial teams, technical specialists and senior stakeholders across the wider Orama group.
The Person
This role will suit a commercially astute and entrepreneurial leader who enjoys building and scaling businesses.
You are likely to bring:
Experience as a General Manager, Country Manager, Business Unit Leader or senior sales leader within a regulated technical B2B environment
A track record of delivering sustainable growth and market development
P&L ownership and strong commercial and financial acumen
Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and developing organisational capability
Exposure to technical, regulated or safety‑critical markets
The ability to introduce structure, process and operational discipline within a growing business
A hands‑on, collaborative leadership style combined with the ability to think strategically and execute effectively
Direct fire safety experience would be advantageous but is not essential. More important is the ability to lead growth, build capability and drive performance within a technical solutions environment.
