Asegúrese de leer la descripción completa a continuación.By partnering with leading academics and clinicians, we identify novel therapeutic targets from the unique biology of treatment refractory advanced cancer patients, to provide effective new treatments for patients with no remaining alternatives.ScopeWe are building our finance function in‑house and are looking for a Finance Manager to work directly with the CFO as a key partner in shaping and professionalizing the department. This is the first strategic finance hire and will play a central role in establishing the company's financial infrastructure. The role combines financial control, FP&A, and operational finance, with a strong focus on execution.ResponsibilitiesAccounting & Close (Primary Ownership)Own and run the full day‑to‑day accounting function, with the objective of progressively bringing activities in‑houseLead the monthly, quarterly, and year‑end close processes with a high standard of accuracy and timelinessTake full ownership of accruals, including complex areas such as clinical trial accruals and purchase order accrualsPrepare financial statements under Spanish GAAP and support IFRS reporting requirementsEstablish and implement accounting policies, SOPs, and internal controls from the ground upBuild, manage, and develop the accounting function over time (internal and external resources)FP&A & Business PartneringOwn the annual budgeting process and periodic reforecastingPrepare and analyze budget vs. actuals, ensuring clear visibility on performance and deviationsDeliver regular financial reporting and materials for the CFOSupport decision‑making through financial analysis, scenario planning, and business insightPartner closely with operational teams, particularly clinical, to ensure accurate planning and cost trackingCash, Treasury & Runway ManagementRunway management: manage day‑to‑day banking operations and payment planningSupport fundraising processes, including financial data preparationSystems & Process Build‑OutLead the implementation of ERP and finance systems, including accounting and procurement capabilitiesDesign and implement procurement processes, including approval workflows and controlsDrive automation and continuous improvement across finance operationsGrants, R&D Incentives & FundingOwn the financial management of public grants, soft loans, and R&D tax creditsEnsure proper tracking, reporting, and compliance with all funding requirementsAct as finance lead in the preparation, justification, and optimization of these funding sourcesTax, Audit & ComplianceCoordinate with external advisors to ensure full compliance across tax filings (VAT, corporate tax, etc.)Lead the audit process (interim and year‑end), ensuring a clean and efficient executionPrepare annual accounts and act as the main point of contact for auditors and advisorsPayroll & External CoordinationEnsure payroll is accurately reflected in financial records, including reconciliation and accounting treatmentOversee payroll outputs produced by external providers, ensuring accuracy and consistency with HR‑provided input and financial recordsQualifications5–8+ years of experience in finance, covering both accounting and FP&A responsibilitiesExperience in biotech, life sciences, or R&D‑driven environment is preferred or ex Big4 audit firmBackground in a high‑growth or scaling company, with exposure to building or transforming finance processesExperience working closely with senior leadership (CFO, CEO, or equivalent)Strong understanding of Spanish GAAP; exposure to IFRS is a plusSolid accounting foundation, including close processes, accruals, and financial statement preparationExperience managing complex accruals (ideally clinical trials, R&D, or project‑based environments)Strong FP&A capabilities, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysisFamiliarity with grants, R&D tax credits, or similar funding mechanisms is a plusExperience with ERP implementation or optimization; comfortable working with finance systems and driving automationNetSuite experience preferredGood understanding of tax and compliance processes in coordination with external advisorsWhat we offerA work environment, culture, and passionate team in the oncology sector, with versatile remuneration, flexible working hours, and events throughout the year.
