The Deputy Head of ISSF supports the Head of International Shared Service Finance (ISSF) in managing the global finance shared services organization. The role ensures high‑quality service delivery, supports operational excellence initiatives, and contributes to the ongoing development and scaling of ISSF to meet global business needs. This is a second‑in‑command position designed for an experienced shared services professional who brings strong operational capability, stakeholder management, and cross‑regional communication skills — with Mandarin Chinese required to collaborate effectively with the group’s key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership & Service Delivery: Support the Head of ISSF in ensuring efficient, accurate, and consistent delivery of Finance services across delivery locations. Monitor KPIs, SLAs and operational performance across processes (R2R, P2P, O2C, Tax, Internal Controls, etc.). Drive structured issue resolution, root‑cause analysis, and escalation handling. Coordinate within the organisation to secure stable operations.
Process Improvement & Digitalization: Contribute to ISSF’s continuous improvement agenda, including automation, standardization, and digitalization initiatives. Identify improvement opportunities across processes and delivery locations; support implementation of cross‑functional initiatives.
Stakeholder & Customer Management: Serve as a key operational contact for internal stakeholders. Support senior stakeholder alignment in collaboration with the Head of ISSF and China Shared Service Center (CSSF). Participate in governance forums and customer advisory discussions as needed.
Organizational Coordination & Team Development: Assist in coordinating global teams across hubs (e.g., Gothenburg, Madrid) and support organizational alignment. Provide guidance to team leads and managers to help build capability within the service delivery organization. Act as acting leader during the absence of the Head of ISSF.
Transition & Change Support: Support transition projects, including onboarding new entities, or service scopes. Liaise with transition manager(s) to ensure smooth execution of migrations. Promote change management, communication, and best‑practice sharing across delivery locations.
Required Qualifications
Experience ~8 years of progressive experience in Finance Shared Service Centers / Global Business Services (SSC/GBS). Solid understanding of Finance processes across the full value chain (R2R, P2P, O2C, Tax, Internal Controls). Experience working in multinational environments and across time zones. Exposure to transformation, standardization, or digitalization initiatives is a strong merit.
Education & Certifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. Professional certifications (CPA, ACCA, CMA) beneficial but not required.
Skills & Competencies
Strong operational leadership and people‑coordination skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management capability. Ability to work in fast‑moving environments and handle complex, cross‑regional issues. Analytical mindset with a focus on quality, efficiency and customer value. Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and exposure to automation tools preferred.
Language Requirement
Fluency in English and Mandarin Chinese (required for coordination with CSSF).
