Position MissionThe resource will report to the specific After Sales Manager.The resource will be responsible of execution of maintenance activities on the whole fleet of systems installed in the Area of reference and to operate computers and hardware of the Measuring Systems installed on board during the railway measurements campaigns.ResponsibilitiesExecution of ordinary and extraordinary Maintenance of High Tech equipment on rail vehicle (coach roof/underframe)Execution of ordinary and extraordinary Maintenance of cooling piping, water piping and air pipingPlanning and Tracking of the periodical maintenance activitiesPlanning and Tracking of the corrective maintenance activitiesCabling and interconnections between equipment, including power supplyAble to perform calibration & tuning of the Monitoring SystemsParticipating in measurement campaigns on the customer’s rail networkOperate the computers and hardware of Monitoring Systems during the inspection runsOperation of SW Measuring systems, management of data storage, configuration of systemsSubmit the on-board track inspection results and reports to customerPerform basic troubleshooting on Monitoring SystemsProvide local support for the system’s specialists, on site or remotely from Italian OfficesManagement of spare parts on customer facilitiesSuggesting improvement in product at 360°Management of Customer Referent directly involved and first assistantDiagnosis, Investigation and Problem SolvingElectrical measurementsMechanical measurementsOS installation and configurationNetwork configuration and diagnosticSoftware basic installation and configurationTechnical Skills, Qualifications and Professional ExperienceTechnical background in Electronics / Computer science / Informatics / Mechanical engineeringAt least 2 years of relevant experience (working experience in electronic, automotive, railway or oil & gas industry)Fluent written and spoken Spanish and EnglishWindows OS and LAN network installation, configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting (preferably)Railway geography, system, and track structure knowledge (preferably)Capability of reading and understanding electrical and mechanical drawingsUse and knowledge of basic tools, basic crimping tools as well as test equipment like oscilloscope, Signal generatorExpertise of the basic electrical activities like cabling, crimping, soldering, networkingKnowledge of conduits/cable path for data and power transmission between the systemsKnowledge of cabling for electrical and special railway components like connector and termination for rail application, military connector and termination for rail application, MT and BT connector, fiber-optic termination (preferably)Expertise of the basic mechanical activities like drilling, threading, sealing, cutting, paintingKnowledge of cooling piping, water piping and air piping plant installation (preferred)Electrical soldering and Connector crimping and solderingAvailable to travel within Spanish territory, including weekends and night shifts, according to customer inspection runsMermec is an equal opportunity employer committed to providing a working environment that embraces and values diversity and inclusion.
