The Environment & Sustainability (E&S) Specialists assist the E&S Manager in the development and execution of the organization’s environmental and sustainability strategy across all levels. The specialist must create strong links with the factories to align and improve sustainability practices.
This role is part of the central Technology and Sustainability team and is reporting to the Environmental & Sustainability Manager of Ingredients and Energy (I&E) division.
Responsibilities
Divisional E&S strategy:
Contribute to the definition, monitoring and implementation of E&S strategy.
Support the compliance to relevant reports, ratings and standards.
Contribute to the development of new sustainable products and services.
Sustainability improvement:
Contribute to the identification of new regulatory requirements at international (European) level and its implementation at country level.
Monitor and support the environmental and sustainability developments and action plans worked out by Division, Business Units, sites or other stakeholders.
Support the resolution of environmental issues raised by the sites.
Monitor and support operational compliance and environmental management on sites.
Development of standards and training:
Together with operational teams, develop I&E guidelines as prioritised based on operational needs.
Provide environmental & sustainable requirements (internal or customer) for major CAPEX projects.
Develop relevant training in the field of sustainability and environment.
Specific objectives responsibilities:
Develop, implement and promote the internal Lifecycle Assessment (LCA) tool
Develop the CO2 as Business Model to achieve the creation of CO2 credits
Profile
At least 3 years of overall experience, with 2 in working in a similar role in environmental and sustainability department and mainly in Life Cycle Analysis and Carbon Footprint
Good technological competencies and regulation awareness.
Sustainability passionate, motivated by continuous improvement with good relational and communication skills.
Preferred: knowledge of fertilizer, biofuels (Biogas) or petfood industry.
Fluent in English, any other language (mainly French, German or Spanish) would be a plus
