In Vestas, we #PowerTheSolution – Can you?Region MED > SBU MED Service > MED - ElectricalThe L2, Software & Electrical Engineering Department, within MED Electrical, plays a critical role in ensuring the performance, reliability, and safety of modern wind turbine systems. The department main priorities are the integration and maintenance of all electrical and software components that enable efficient turbine operation, grid compliance, and advanced monitoring capabilities.ResponsibilitiesLiaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure technical queries, variations, and payment claims are assessed promptlyEnsure all work carried out follows Vestas Quality and Site Safety requirementsIdentify technical risks and propose mitigation strategiesCollaborate with engineering teams to understand root causes and translate findings into actionable solutionsCoordinate with cross-functional teams to analyze data and identify operational issuesQualificationsDegree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical fieldSolid understanding of turbine control principles, generator/converter behavior, and grid complianceExperience with control system diagnostics and embedded software environmentsFamiliarity with PLC programming, software update processes, and version controlExperience working within structured product‑development processes and internal engineering proceduresFluent in English, both written and spokenCompetenciesExperienced analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and identify trendsMotivated mindset with the focus on structured problem-solvingEffective communicator who bridges technical and non-technical teamsCollaborative contributor with experience working across departments and with field teamsCapable of adjusting to new conditions and inspired to contribute to improvementsComfortable working in multicultural, international environmentsWhat We OfferWe offer an exciting and international role in the sustainable energy sector, where you will be part of a global leader in wind turbine technology.
