Would you like to join a small but growing international media & events company which is focused on startups and innovation? Menlo Media is the company behind EU-Startups.com (a leading news publication focusing on startups in Europe) and organizer of the annual EU-Startups Summit. Founded in 2010, EU-Startups.com today reaches about 800K page views per month. We’re currently looking for a proactive, smart and hard-working Editorial Partnerships Manager (or Editorial Assistant) who focuses mainly on the management of sponsored posts and other commercial content, as well as on the content of our guest contributors. Your main tasks would be: To lead our commercial content creation efforts for EU-Startups.com Daily communication with our guest contributors Communicating with startups and PR agencies regarding news announcements, sponsored posts and advertising-related content Other content, communications and social media related tasks (Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, X, TikTok etc.) Preparing the draft for each edition of our weekly newsletter Preferred skills / experience: You’re capable of and interested in creating kick-ass content - every day! You’re a native English speaker, or you’ll at least have close to native speaker English skills. You have some previous editorial, PR, and/or communications experience You’re familiar with the common startup & tech terminology, and are familiar with the key players of the European startup ecosystem You have basic or advanced knowledge regarding WordPress, SEO, MS office, Google docs,… You’re excited about startups, you're pro-European, and interested in innovation and technology! Important: Applicants should already be based in Barcelona, or somewhere else in Spain with the ability to quickly re-locate to Barcelona. This role will be in-person and full-time (40h per week) from our Barcelona office. We work from the office four days per week. Wednesday is remote day.
