We are looking for a Barcelona-based Ecosystem / Community Manager to help us build a thriving community of startups, investors, advisors, mentors and other supporters within and around Norrsken House Barcelona. In this role, you will create a highway of support for impact companies to soar, champion our community, and act as a super-connector within the ecosystem. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to accelerate their career and serve as a highly visible representative of our growing impact ecosystem, and work directly alongside the Norrsken Barcelona leadership team. Responsibilities: Lead the growth and engagement of Norrsken House Barcelona’s impact community & ecosystem. Establish and nurture key relationships across the technology sector to bridge the needs of the community; including our investor network, advisors, mentors, impact leaders & subject matter experts. Establish outreach initiatives to generate interest and participation from new members. Support the growth of our members and ensure they have every opportunity to learn, connect and succeed through community initiatives, our community portal & more. Leverage Norrsken’s broader reach to help our companies grow (even) faster. Represent Norrsken Barcelona at events and summits, host discussions with experts (internal & external) about impact topics and share relevant insights back to our community. Qualifications: Are passionate about making the world a better place, and believe entrepreneurship, technology and business can be a driving force to make this happen. Have a tech / entrepreneurial background with at least 3 years of experience working in a challenging environment. Experience with impact startups is not essential but a big plus. Are passionate about connecting people and building network effects: you are a people’s person with strong interpersonal skills. Experience related to community building or business development is valuable. Excellent communicator, both written & verbal. People listen to you when you speak and you can command a room. Are driven by teamwork, member-centricity and you put collective interests first. Have immersed yourself in the Barcelona tech scene. A job at Norrsken is like working at a startup. It’s a fast-paced and exciting place to work. Tasks and challenges may be demanding, responsibilities may change over time, but we guarantee that in return we will fast-forward your personal and professional development. And, you’ll get to work in a team of caring people with similar aspirations. Ten years from now, you will be proud of the projects and ideas you have developed and acted on together. About Norrsken Norrsken is an impact ecosystem where entrepreneurs can find everything they need to make saving the world their business. It is a non-profit foundation, set up by Niklas Adalberth (co-founder of unicorn Klarna). We run award-winning co-working spaces in Stockholm, Kigali, and Barcelona. We incubated several funds, including Norrsken VC - the world's largest early-stage impact VC fund, and Norrsken22, a $200 million growth fund backing exceptional entrepreneurs building Africa’s new tech unicorns. We run our own global Norrsken Impact Accelerator, and also continue to gather some of the world’s greatest thinkers in the recurring end-of-summer Impact Week. But we’re only getting started. We’re now ready for the next stage of our growth journey, and we’re looking for top-tier talent to join our mission of helping entrepreneurs solve the world’s greatest challenges. Note: This role is advertised as an Ecosystem Manager / Community Manager role to ensure we can reach a broad set of applicants with this opportunity. Please note the listed roles are equivalent.
