At ING we are looking for a DevOps for ESB Your role and work environment: We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic DevOps for ESB to join our TechieBlinders Team at Engineering Platform Tribe. The responsibility of this team is to develop and maintain the Middleware layer in charge of our messaging platform (ESB) and our Redis database while operating these assets, pointing to an excellent way of working on its operational procedures. We as a team are constantly looking for the maximum efficiency in our procedures, resources, and automatisms while keeping our first-class standards for Security, ITRisk, and FinOps. Your key responsibilities: As a DevOps Engineer, you will drive and implement our automation vision with a focus on building platforms and services using the “everything as a code” mantra. An automation-first mentality is the first step for a significant transformation for any organization, starting from simple task automation, moving to complex workflow orchestration, and finally providing end-user services via “push-button” features. You will work hand in hand with the Engineering Platform Tribe team, Product Owners, and Architects to develop strategies and to define principles for ING services. Our team’s portfolio is diverse, containing a significant number of projects with a wide span of technologies and platforms like Linux OS, ELK stack, Prometheus, Grafana, Ansible, or OpenShift. We, as a platform team, have as our main stakeholders the Tribe’s engineers; therefore, we are focused on delivering efficient solutions for many engineers to improve their delivery in all aspects: quality code, delivered as scheduled, in a secure and compliant way, using an efficient and elastic Infrastructure. What are we looking for? We are looking for Engineers with the ability to lead and co-create solutions adapted to our constantly evolving ecosystem, which may change in the Technology we use, in the requirements from our business, or in the needs of our users. For these to happen, these are the main skills required: Task automation, with Azure DevOps pipelines and Git OpenShift namespace operations (not cluster) Monitoring and alerting with Prometheus and Grafana. Processes improvements: Ability to understand the ecosystem, from Development environments to Production System Maintenance: Linux sysadmin basic skills Able to work under pressure, willing to be on stand-by outside of office hours Basic knowledge of Scrum / Kanban and Agile methodologies Good English communication skills, verbal as well as written Important competencies: problem-solving, creativity, cooperation, disciplined and result-oriented Implementing new features to improve system reliability (e.G., monitoring, anomalies detections, incidents handling) Solving IT Risk and Security requirements (e.G., coordination of Pentests, Vulnerability Scans review, Lifecycle Management, Patching activities) What do we offer?
