The NTT DATA Inc Privacy Center of Excellence (CoE) is a multidisciplinary team that ensures compliance with global data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, UK GDPR, LGPD, CCPA) across NTT DATA’s worldwide operations. We provide strategic guidance and operational support to both internal and external projects and services, addressing privacy requirements from our corporate areas and client engagements.
Our scope includes risk evaluation during corporate initiatives such as HR, IT, Marketing, and business activities, as well as privacy assessments of our suppliers.
As a Privacy Expert, you will join our international team of privacy professionals, supporting the implementation and continuous improvement of our global privacy program. You will work closely with corporate and business units, clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders across different geographies.
FUNCTIONS:
Acting as a privacy advisor for global and local business projects and services.
Conducting Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) and risk evaluations, and proposing mitigation measures.
Advising on and regulating international data transfers (including SCCs, BCRs, TIAs, etc.).
Assessing and approving suppliers from a privacy and data protection perspective.
Contributing to the harmonization of privacy practices globally within the company.
Collaborating and coordinating with other areas of the Privacy CoE.
We are looking for an experienced privacy professional with a global mindset and strong expertise in data protection and compliance:
Experience: Several years working in data protection, privacy, compliance, or related advisory/consulting roles, ideally in multinational contexts.
Knowledge and Skills:
Strong expertise in privacy laws and regulations: GDPR, UK GDPR, LOPDGDD, LGPD, CCPA, etc.
Familiarity with risk assessment methodologies and privacy-by-design principles.
Understanding of international privacy frameworks and standards (euroPrivacy, ISO 27701, ISO 27001, NIST, etc.).
Knowledge of information security practices and their intersection with privacy.
Strong computer literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with privacy management tools (e.g., OneTrust) is a plus.
Basic understanding of IT architecture, cloud environments, and development processes (valuable).
Soft Skills:
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across different cultures and regions.
Ability to work in multidisciplinary and international teams.
Strategic thinking combined with a hands‑on approach to operational tasks.
Proactive, detail‑oriented, and business‑oriented mindset.
Languages: Full professional proficiency in English; other languages are also valuable.

Valuable privacy certifications and education:
Privacy certifications such as IAPP (CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT), ISACA CDPSE, or recognized local certifications.
Security certifications such as ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Auditor/Implementer, CISA, CISM, CISSP, etc.
Master’s degree in Privacy Law, Data Protection, or related fields.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Law, or equivalent
