ph3Job Description /h3pAs a Data Center Construction Manager you will be a part of a creative, efficient team tasked with tackling fascinating and challenging problems building and supporting the operations of Amazon data centers. Amazon Construction Managers are part of a fast‑paced team delivering data centers for our Customers. Our data centers are industry leading examples of energy efficient, cost effective designs. /ph3Key Job Responsibilities /h3ulliConstruction project management and oversight of construction related activities as they relate to new builds or general capital projects at a specific data centre site. This will include the ownership of the project scope, timeline, and budget. /liliDirect interface with construction general contractors during the bidding, award, execution, and project closeout/punch list phases. /liliWork with general contractors and vendors to deliver efficient and high-quality project turn-overs. /liliLead negotiations with general contractors and evaluate bids/proposals with detail and accuracy. /liliCreation of construction project scope and request for proposals. /liliCapital requests/financial analysis of construction work including change orders, purchase orders, and invoicing. /liliConstruction project management for specific initiatives aimed at increasing the resiliency of our data centres. /liliReviews of electrical and mechanical designs associated with the construction of new data centres or the optimisation of existing data centres. /liliConstruction submittal review. /liliConstruction project quality control including the creation of a commissioning plan and support of the commissioning process. /liliRe‑coding and reporting key construction metrics to team members and management. /liliBe a leader within the group as well as within internal and external teams that support the data centre. /liliThe position will be based on a data centre construction site in Zaragoza/Spain. /li /ulh3Basic Qualifications /h3ulliBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering /liliBachelor's degree in Engineering /li /ulh3Preferred Qualifications /h3ulliExperience in construction of data center delivery (design, commissioning and construction), mission critical facilities, or equivalent industrial/manufacturing facility builds /liliAbility to read, write and speak fluently in English and Spanish /li /ulpAmazon is an equal opportunities employer.
