From HCL Tech we are currently looking for an experienced Cloud Data Migration Architect to join an exciting transformation project for an initial 3-month freelance contract, with a strong possibility of extension beyond 6 months. Location: EU (Hybrid) Mainly remote, with occasional travel within Europe (approximately 1–2 trips every two months) Start Date: Immediate Languages: Fluent English required | Italian highly preferred What we're looking for: Extensive experience as a GCP Data Architect, leading large-scale migrations to BigQuery Strong expertise with legacy database environments, particularly: Teradata (essential) Oracle / Exadata (nice to have) Proven experience delivering: Cloud Database Migrations Data Lake Migrations End-to-End Data Migration Strategies Hands-on expertise with: Databricks Google DataProc Data Streaming initiatives and architectures Development & Performance Optimization: Java and/or Python Advanced SQL tuning and workload optimization xcskxlj Contract Details: Freelance / Contractor Role Initial 3-month contract Extension potential of 6+ months Immediate start preferred If you have a strong background in cloud data migrations, BigQuery, and Teradata modernization projects, I'd love to hear from you.
