The Aixial Group is an International Contract Research Organization (CRO), a member of the ALTEN Group, providing complex services in clinical trials (phase I-IV) and non-interventional studies. Our offices are located in France, UK, US, Belgium, Switzerland, Denmark, Romania, and India. The CRO occupies a unique position in the clinical research industry, supporting biotech and pharma companies across all phases of development, as an expert in the operational delivery of clinical trials in complex disease areas including oncology and rare diseases with full-service and FSP models. THE ROLE: We are currently looking for dynamic and self-motivated Business Development Associate to join our sales team throughout Europe and the US. This is a great opportunity for someone who is seeking to fast-track their Business Development career in life sciences. We are looking for a driven, self-starter who enjoys working in a global, dynamic and intellectually stimulating environment. The BD Associate position can be remote/home-based. Key responsibilities: Hunting for new business from potential biotech and pharmaceutical companies using phone calls, business intelligence, social media, and CRM tools. Support scheduling and planning of prospect meetings. Attend (virtual/in-person) regional and national marketing events for lead generation. Discuss promotional strategy and activities with the Business Development Team. Create and drive marketing campaigns. Capture, document and report information provided by prospective clients to ensure adequate and effective information sharing with Business Development Team. Identify potential sales opportunities. Qualify leads identified, by phone and by email, in close contact with the Business Development Team to generate opportunities for receiving RFPs. Management of automated email and CRM tools. Respond to the guidance and instruction offered by the Business Development Team. Understand the Aixial Group solutions and our potential client challenges and needs. Meet or exceed KPIs for account identification and qualification, lead generation and client engagement. Qualifications and attributes: 2+ years experience and proven business development success in the clinical trials/CRO industry in sales, operations or purchasing/outsourcing. Excellent oral and written communication skills is a must have. English required. Communicate confidently and articulate business development principles internally and externally. Demonstrated experience communicating with biotech and pharmaceutical clients. Determination to reach defined objectives and resilience to overcome client objections are imperative.
