Due to our continued growth we are now recruiting for a Brakes Manager to be based at our customer’s site in EL Vendrell, Spain.THE ROLELead real-world validation of foundation brakes (rotors, calipers, pads, hydraulics) AND brake control systems (ABS/ESC/TCS) through vehicle-level simulation Management and testing Management, ensuring compliance with performance and safety targets.Key ResponsibilitiesLead Engineering Service Providers for calibration, development and validation of control algorithms and diagnostics to meet Brake and Brake control system requirements and performance targets on vehicle levelCollaborate with CAE, Chassis & Powertrain dev. Teams and their related system suppliers * Establish calibration environment virtually (MIL, DIL) and in vehicleManaging Foundation Brake and Brake NVH development and testingDevelopment and Evaluation of Brake pedal feelEnable self-organizing, empowered teams to deliver product on-time with quality executions in an agile frameworkImplement and support agile principles and practices, identifying and eliminating impediments, and facilitating flowMentor, coach, and develop employees and their careersEstablish and monitor budget for responsible activitiesExecute resource planning for required activitiesWillingness to travel worldwide for testing activitiesKnowledge / experienceBachelor’s degree in automotive/mechanical/Electronic/Software/System Engineering from a recognized school or university.Excellent multi-functional communication, presentation and leadership skills - able to get multiple global teams which are geographically dispersed moving in the same directionWorking knowledge of embedded controls development toolchain, with tool experience, like VI Grade or Carmaker, Matlab, Simulink, Diadem, CANApe or similar applicationHigh level of driving and evaluation skillsKnowledge of EV Brake & Brake Controls development processes from feasibility to SOPExtensive engineering experience related to Foundation Brake and Brake control system, calibration, related hardware developmentDemonstrated ability to: achieve results through effective teamwork, lead numerous projects with different focal areas to successful completion, and manage and measure work through metrics, data, and results.If you are passionate about bringing innovation to the projects you work on and want to join a global company, then this is the place for you.Tata Technologies: Engineering a better world.Tata Technologies would like to thank all applicants for their interest, each application will be reviewed against the set criteria for the role.
