DevOps Engineer (Azure Fabric) - B2B Start: ASAP Duration: 14 months Location: 100% remote (UK client) Rate: 290 - 390 EUR per day The Role: We are looking for a highly skilled Azure & Microsoft Fabric Infrastructure Engineer (Contract) with deep expertise in designing, deploying, and supporting cloud infrastructure for modern data platforms. This role places a strong emphasis on Microsoft Fabric and Azure-native services , requiring someone who can confidently build secure, scalable, and cost-efficient environments that enable advanced data engineering and analytics workloads. Responsibilities Lead the deployment and ongoing management of Azure infrastructure components supporting Microsoft Fabric , Azure Data Lake Storage , and related data services. Implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using ARM templates or Terraform to ensure consistent, repeatable deployments. Monitor and continually optimise Azure and Fabric environments for cost, performance, resilience, and scalability. Configure and manage security across Fabric and Azure, including licensing, Microsoft Entra ID, RBAC, access controls, and Private Endpoints. Support and enhance CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and data platform deployments using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions. Provide advanced platform support, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis for Fabric and Azure infrastructure components. Experience & Knowledge Required Extensive hands-on experience deploying, securing, and managing Azure infrastructure to support Microsoft Fabric and Azure-based data management platforms. Strong background in IaC using ARM templates or Terraform, with experience automating end-to-end infrastructure deployments. Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell, HCL, and JSON. Solid understanding of Azure governance, identity, networking, and security best practices. Practical experience with DevOps methodologies and CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and data workloads. Ability to work autonomously in a contract setting while delivering high-quality, production-ready solutions.
