This role combines technical leadership, architecture ownership, and team coordination, ensuring that cloud environments and infrastructure projects are secure, scalable, cost‑efficient, and aligned with strategic goals.The ideal candidate will lead cloud architecture initiatives, coordinate technical teams, manage operational workflows, and collaborate with stakeholders across multiple areas. This includes responsibility for backlog management, project follow‑up, and ensuring smooth delivery of cloud initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Leadership & Team ManagementLead and mentor the engineering team, providing technical guidance and ensuring effective task delivery.Coordinate daily operations, assign workloads (JIRA), and support in resolving technical blockers.Ensure alignment between technical execution and project objectives.AWS Cloud Architecture & ImplementationDesign and implement scalable, secure, and highly available AWS architectures.Build cloud solutions using core AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, EKS/ECS, CloudFormation/CDK/Terraform).Apply AWS best practices and the Well‑Architected Framework.Infrastructure Automation & IaCAutomate cloud infrastructure using Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK, and GitOps practices.Maintain consistency, traceability, and security across IaC deployments.Cloud Security & GovernanceImplement AWS security best practices (IAM governance, KMS, networking).Manage multi‑account governance and compliance frameworks (Organizations, SCPs, Control Tower).Operational CoordinationParticipate in regular stakeholder and project follow‑up meetings (Landing Zone, IaC, migration planning).Oversee progress of cloud migration and operational tasks, ensuring timely delivery.Cost Optimization & Continuous ImprovementAssess cloud environments and propose improvements for cost, performance, and security.Promote evolving AWS-native solutions to enhance efficiency and scalability.Cross-functional CollaborationWork closely with development, operations, security, and architecture teams.Translate business needs into secure, scalable cloud solutions and provide technical leadership across the organization.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or similar fields.5+ years of experience designing and managing cloud architectures, preferably in AWS.AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional (or equivalent certifications).Strong experience with key AWS services:EC2, S3, RDS, VPCLambda, API Gateway, DynamoDBEKS/ECS, CloudFormation, IAM, CloudWatchExpertise in designing scalable, fault‑tolerant, and secure architectures.Strong knowledge of containers (Docker, Kubernetes, EKS) and automation tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK).Experience implementing cloud security and compliance policies.Experience with CI/CD tooling: GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline/CodeBuild.Excellent communication skills for working with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and lead teams in fast‑paced environments.Preferred Qualifications:Experience migrating on-premises systems and legacy applications to AWS.Knowledge of hybrid and multi-cloud platform architectures and deployment strategies.Demonstrated experience leading technical teams, mentoring engineers, and managing cross-functional projects.Proven track record in cloud cost optimization and resource management.Experience with multi-account AWS governance, AWS Organizations, and AWS Control Tower.Familiarity with agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban and project management tools like JIRA.Additional AWS certifications (Solutions Architect – Associate, DevOps Engineer, Security Specialty) or complementary cloud certifications.Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.What do we offer you?International, positive, dynamic and motivated work environment.Hybrid work model (telecommuting/on-site).Flexible schedule.Continuous training: Certification preparation, access to Coursera, weekly English and German classes...Flexible compensation plan: medical insurance, restaurant tickets, day care, transportation allowances...Life and accident insurance.More than 26 working days of vacation per year.Social fund.Free service in specialists (doctors, physiotherapists, nutritionists, psychologists, lawyers...).100% of salary in case of medical leave.And many more advantages of being part of T-Systems!If you are looking for a new challenge, do not hesitate to send us your CV!
