NoOffer DescriptionJOB POSITION: ASSISTANT RESEARCHER (I-PI 115-24)Applications are invited by the University of Alicante President for an open-ended contractual position as an assistant researcher to collaborate with the funded line of research “Productivity, risk and macroeconomic policies”. Reference: I-PI 115-24Pursuant to the provisions of the regulations governing calls for applications of research staff to cover contractual research positions, the University of Alicante calls for applications to cover a job position in accordance with the following terms and conditions:First. Number of vacancies and features of the job vacancy:1.1. Number of job vacancies: one.1.2. Job position: assistant researcher.1.3. Funded line of research: “Productivity, risk and macroeconomic policies”.1.4. Working hours: 37.5 hours/week in morning/afternoon sessions.1.5. Remuneration: €1,347.86 gross/monthly (plus extra payments in accordance with current regulations).Second. Research group with which the successful applicant will collaborate.2.1. Name of the research group: “Economic Analysis”.2.5. Tasks to be carried out:Conducting research tasks in the field of macroeconomics and financial economics, under the supervision of the principal investigator.Participating in the Department’s research seminars.Participating in the organisation of seminars, workshops, scientific meetings and other research-related activities.Performing any other task related to this job position that may arise during the implementation of the project.Third. Job profile.Preference will be given to those with:Experience and training related to the tasks listed above, specifically in:Use and management of macroeconomic and microeconomic databases.Quantitative and econometric methods that can be used for the modelling, statistical inference and estimation of causal effects.Knowledge of English.Qualification: Official Master’s degree in Economics (Spanish MECES level 3 or EQF level 7) or any other official Master’s degree with equivalent content.Fourth. Requirements for applicants.Applicants must:Hold or be in the process of obtaining an undergraduate degree in Economics (Spanish MECES level 2 or EQF level 6) plus an official Master’s degree in Economics (Spanish MECES level 3 or EQF level 7) or equivalent.Be a Spanish national or meet the conditions outlined in article 57 of Royal Legislative Decree 5/2015.Be at least 16 years of age and not exceed the maximum compulsory retirement age.Possess the necessary physical and mental capacities for the performance of the corresponding functions.Not have been dismissed by disciplinary proceedings from public administrations.Please note that you must use the University of Alicante's standard CV format for Project-based Research and Technical Staff Recruitment, which is mandatory.
