POSITION SUMMARY / MISSIONWe are seeking an accomplished Senior Scientist to join our Analytical & Formulation Sciences team, specializing in the design and execution of formulation studies for protein therapeutics and new complex modalities in medical dermatology. In this role, you will lead efforts to support developability assessment, early formulation development, and high-concentration formulation design for subcutaneous administration. Your expertise will be pivotal in evaluating and optimizing the stability, compatibility, and in-use performance of protein-based products.You will collaborate closely with analytical, process, and CMC teams to guide molecule selection and development, ensuring robust formulation strategies that advance our diverse dermatology portfolio. The adecuado candidate will drive innovation in formulation sciences, mentor fellow scientists, and promote cross‑functional experimental approaches to address emerging challenges of our diverse medical dermatology portfolio.CORE RESPONSIBILITIESDesign, develop, and evaluate formulations for biologics (proteins, mRNA, complex modalities) across discovery and development stages.Collaborate with CMC teams to ensure phase‑appropriate formulation strategies.Act as subject‑matter expert (SME) in internal technical governance, project reviews, and regulatory discussions, ensuring alignment between formulation approaches and broader CMC objectives.Troubleshoot complex formulation challenges, proposing scientifically sound solutions to advance project objectives.Conduct formulatability and developability assessments, integrating physicochemical and biophysical data.Develop high‑concentration formulations suitable for subcutaneous administration and patient usability.Perform protein stability studies (accelerated, stress, in‑use, and long‑term) and excipient compatibility evaluations.Analyze data to establish structure‑formulation‑stability relationships.Support technology transfer to CDMOs and contribute to technical documentation and regulatory packages.Contribute to innovation initiatives in formulation technology and stability prediction.Mentor junior scientists and help shape laboratory best practices and formulation workflows.Initiate and lead collaborations with internal and external partners on new technologies and disease understanding, accelerating innovation and knowledge sharing.REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEPhD in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related scientific discipline.≥5 years of relevant experience in biopharmaceutical analytical development (industry or academic translational research).Strong understanding of protein stability, biophysical characterization, and formulation science.Familiarity with developability assessments, excipient screening, and in‑use stability.Experience in non‑GxP research and early development environments preferred.Strong communication and collaboration skills in cross‑functional R&D settings.Demonstrated ability to provide scientific leadership and strategic direction in cross‑functional settings.Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and mentoring skills.Experience interfacing with CMC, Regulatory, and external partners (CDMOs, CROs) desirable.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting at international scientific meetings.PREFERRED SKILLS & COMPETENCESHands‑on experience with high‑concentration formulation and subcutaneous delivery systems.Experience in formulation development for dermatological products is a strong plus.Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.Exceptional communication and leadership abilities, with a track record of mentoring and team‑building.Demonstrated ability to lead technology collaborations and drive scientific innovation.Fluency in spoken and written English is essential; other languages are a plus.
