ppJoin us as the Accounting and Tax Manager in Barcelona, where you’ll lead a dynamic team to drive financial accuracy, ensure compliance, and shape the future of our accounting systems — making a real impact at the heart of our global finance operations. /p h3What You’ll Be Doing /h3 ul liAct as a local product owner for the new Accounting ERP Peoplesoft and supervise the system to ensure proper control flows to the accounting records. /li liPrepare statutory reports, including monthly closings, annual accounts, and regulatory filings (e.g., Magnitude, BNB). /li liForecast and control technical margins, including premiums, commissions, reinsurance, and related items. /li liManage treasury functions and cash pooling activities. /li liMaintain relationships with external auditors and tax consultants. /li liPrepare internal control reports, perform controls, and identify risks or issues proactively. /li liAct as the finance key stakeholder to local and central projects, ensuring correct flow to accountancy and data quality. /li liOversee tax declarations and coordinate their integration with accounting, collaborating with AXA Seguros for corporate tax consolidation. /li liCollaborate with other departments to ensure operational and client needs are accurately reflected in financial processes. /li liManage a team of 6 direct reports focusing on continuous process improvement and operational efficiency. /li /ul h3What You’ll Bring /h3 ul liAccounting degree qualifications, especially insurance related accounting experience highly desirable. /li liMinimum of 8-10 years of relevant experience in accounting, finance, or treasury functions. /li liFamiliarity with statutory and regulatory reporting requirements. /li liPrevious experience in auditory (big four) or insurance company is desirable. /li liEnglish Advanced and native Spanish. /li liAdvanced Excel skills. /li liProven team management skills. /li liFamiliarity in managing complex financial processes and a drive for simplification. /li liMeticulous and detail-oriented. /li liAbility to identify risks, implement controls, and resolve issues proactively. /li liHigh level of organization and time management to handle multiple priorities. /li liProven ability to lead, develop, and motivate teams. /li liStrong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance standards. /li liAbility to analyse financial data and generate accurate reports with a focus on data quality. /li /ul pWe’re proud to be an Equal Opportunities Employer and don’t discriminate against employees or potential employees based on protected characteristics.
