We respect the importance of a work-life balance and we are committed to rewarding entrepreneurial spirit and a work ethic.If this sounds like what you are looking for.Read more about the benefits you will receive while working at VDB!**Position Summary**:Responsible for bookkeeping and management of the company’s financial transactions; hold a key role in keeping track of incomes & spending: reconciling them, tracking payments, and mentoring the team to be mindful of expenses and expense tracking. Additionally, you will support the preparation of the financial reports by providing correct, timely, and constantly up-to-date and 100% reliant numbers. Finally, build an effective process to capture all the relevant expenses and revenue, pay receivables, comply with the Spanish tax regulamentation timing and recommend process improvements where necessary.**What you'll be doing**:- Bookkeeping with all company transactions: revenue, costs, cashflows, commissions, etc. Prepare biweekly reports of our financial situation.- Manage the preparation of companies’ tax declarations and payments: Corporate tax, VAT (register, periodic filing, and refund requests). Ensure that all revenues and costs match.- Ensuring that financial transactions are correctly recorded, spot errors, and suggest ways to improve efficiency.- Update Budget based on inputs of the FP&A and Controlling Manager.- Invoice and Cash Management: Creation and management of invoices, execution, and supervision of payments.- Support P&L Preparation and Update by booking on time and correctly.- Explanation of the accounts - resolving any issues/queries.- Direct contact with our banks.- Support the team with the business administrative tasks: subscribe to any new account; responsible for all theoffice and company-related contracts and office utilities.**Who you are**:- You have a minimum of 4-5 years of experience in a similar role or an auditing company.- You understand Spanish tax principles and procedures is a plus.- International experience in highly digital-driven companies is a big plus.- You understand Spanish accounting principles and IFRS international accounting standards; European/International standards are a big plus.- You are integral and professional; you will use VDB’s financial information appropriately and keep it confidential.- Comfortable working with automated workflows.- Highly structured and process-oriented- Willingness to meet deadlines consistently.- Ideally, you have experience using Holded.- International experience: locally or with several years of experience outside of Spain.- Detail-oriented, developing accurate financial records.- Capability to recognize errors and correct them.- Communication. Interpersonal skills.- Analyze information in an objective and unbiased manner.- Work with confidential financial information.- Hard worker. Proactive.- Solution-oriented, accountable, adaptable, curious, customer-centric, and have a sense of urgency.- Fluent in English, proficient in Spanish, additional languages a plus.**Job Skills & Qualifications**:- Proficient usage of accounting software.
